The Medica Sydney, part of the AFO alternative orthopaedic footwear collection, is a specialized closed-toe sandal tailored for children needing enhanced support for the lower leg, ankle, and foot. Acting like an ankle foot orthosis (AFO), it aids in controlling movement in the lower leg, ankle, and foot. The Sydney model features an extended height stiffener for better ankle and lower calf support, four convenient Velcro straps for easy adjustments, a Thomas Heel for added rearfoot support, and is made from real leather for durability and comfort. Moreover, the closed toe box provides comfortable toe protection while maintaining an open, sandal design. This design is ideal for children and teenagers in search of substantial ankle and leg support.
